View from the Side’s weekend theme is ambivalence. To be honest I did not even know the full meaning. After googling I had a better understanding, and decided to do this short post on the theme.
I love Roger Federer and I always hate anybody that plays against him, but for the first time – ever, I am ambivalent towards his opponent!
I sooooo want Rogerer to win Wimbledon, because if he wins it will be his seventh Wimbledon win and then he would be on par with the record currently held by former winners of this prestigious title, namely William Renshaw and Pete Sampras. If Federer wins, he will also become Number 1 again, matching Sampras’ record of 286 weeks at number 1.
If Andy Murray wins, he will be the first British man to win Wimbledon, since Fred Perry did so in 1936! I really like Andy Murray; he is a great tennis player and a real fighter on court!
