Since Nina of “My easy Cooking” informed us of the monthly mingle with the theme Apple Affection I have been inspired to cook with apples, again!
These pancakes filled with apples and topped with a caramel sauce is low on effort but high on taste!
Ingredients:
12 pancakes, made in accordance to your favourite recipe (I use this pancake recipe!)
For the apple filling:
6 golden delicious apples, peeled
200g castor sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
200ml cream
Core the apples and slice.
Place the apples with the sugar, cinnamon sticks and cream in a medium saucepan and heat on low heat.
Cook until the apples are soft.
For the caramel sauce:
100g caramels
125ml cream
Place the caramels and cream into a small saucepan and melt the caramels over low heat. Stir occasionally.
To assemble:
Fill hot pancakes with the apple filling.
Drizzle with the caramel sauce
