Last Thursday evening I and a couple of other food bloggers attended a hands-on cooking class at Silwood Kitchen in Rondebosch, Cape Town. Silwood won the 2011 CITY AND GUILDS cookery school skills challenge and the 2010 SHOWCOOK Inter-school’s competition. Their courses are internationally recognised and they are regarded as one of the best chef training institutions in South Africa. After this evening I can totally understand why they are so highly valued. The facilities are excellent and our instructor for the evening Gary and his two assistants were professional and very helpful.
The evening was sponsored by Le Creuset and I don’t think they need to be introduced to any foodie. Le Creuset’s products are highly sought after because of the exceptional quality, superior materials and innovative design of the products. Couple this with the wide and vibrant range of colours that the products are available in and you have absolute beautiful and winning products. I took this Picture of the Le Creuset stand at the 2011 Good Food and Wine show in Cape Town:
I have met the most amazing fellow bloggers and we had so much fun! Food Bloggers love food and everything food related. The authors of the following bloggs attended with me:
We made the following dishes:

Stuffed Chicken breast with a wine sauce:
Bread and Butter Cappuccino’s (the ramekins was a gift from Le Creuset):
