View from the side’s weekend theme is “something old, something new”.
Since I had some very strange new visitors to my garden lately, I decided to do a post on mushrooms.
My something old is two mushroom recipes, that I blogged about a long time ago. The first one is a mushroom soup and you can find the recipe here!
The second one is mushrooms stuffed with mashed peas and you can find the recipe here.
My something new is photos of strange mushrooms that were in my garden recently. We have an area under one specific tree where there are always mushrooms growing. They look like white and brown large mushrooms, similar to the brown mushrooms that can be bought at any greengrocer.
These ones are however totally different. This beautiful one was growing in my garden about a month ago:
These ones are growing in my garden currently. It seems like they start out looking like this:
and then change to look like this:
and in the end they look quite awful and colour everything around them black:
I have never seen mushrooms like these ones but find it quite intriguing. If you have any information about them please let me know.

They look like shaggy ink caps.
believe it might be eatable.

I love mushrooms, but these are the strangest ones I’ve ever see, ppd. I wouldn’t eat them though. Are you sure they aren’t toadstools. They look bewitched.;) Thanks for the lovely recipes. xxx

I am not sure why I have not been getting your blogs in my feed?! I am not sure if I would eat those mushrooms, but there is a mushroom academy in SB and I am sure they can help you with what they are
Yes, I know about them!! Thanks!
These are very interesting mushrooms, you are lucky to have so much interesting nature growth in your garden… Thank you for sharing!
Pleasure and thanks for the visit!
All very intrigueing mushrooms/toadstills and are great to photograph, but I’m sure I’d stop just there…a little too mysterious for me. A great idea from SidevieW’s weekend theme and by you showing us your recipes. they look great!
Yes, I will NEVER east them!!
The black and white one is very interesting, probably a toadstool.
Nobody could give any info on that one!
